Frequently asked questions
Useful answers.
No muddy details.
01Is a location open yet?+
Not yet. We are assessing a first pilot in the Livingston and wider Lothians area. We will publish the exact location only after a host, technical survey and launch plan are confirmed.
02How much will it cost?+
Our current working price is around £14 for a timed wash, rinse and dry. Final price and cycle time will be confirmed before opening.
03Do I need to book?+
The proposed model is walk-up and contactless, without an appointment. Any live availability feature would be introduced only once the equipment and operating data support it.
04What products will be used?+
We intend to use measured products made for dogs. The exact products and allergy information will be published after supplier selection.
05Will my dog be completely dry?+
The dryer is intended to remove much of the water, but results will depend on coat type, dog comfort and the time available. We recommend bringing a towel for the car, particularly for thick or double coats.
06What if my dog is nervous?+
You stay with your dog and control the process. Introduce the space, water and dryer gradually, and stop if your dog is distressed. Final station access, restraint and emergency-stop details will be published after equipment selection.
07What will the station include?+
Our procurement brief covers warm water, measured dog wash products, rinse and drying functions, secure and non-slip handling features, clear instructions, contactless payment and remote operating data. The final specification is not yet selected.
08Is it a groomer?+
No. It is self-service equipment for owners who want to wash and dry their own dog. It does not replace professional grooming or veterinary care.
09Who cleans and maintains it?+
The Dog Wash Stop intends to manage cleaning, replenishment, checks, support and maintenance through planned operating routines and specialist supplier support.
010Can my business host one?+
Potentially. We are interested in visible, accessible, dog-relevant sites with feasible utilities and parking. The first step is a no-commitment conversation and site assessment.
011Who makes the equipment?+
Supplier selection remains open among suitable UK and European vendors. We are assessing reliability, service coverage, customer experience, data access, total cost and white-labelling before choosing.
